NIBC-CyNation Event a Success1 min read

Following the opening of our office in The Hague in September, CyNation, along with our partner NIBC Bank, held its first international event at the end of March on cyber security and data privacy.

Panelists included Maarten Botterman (Director, ICANN Board), Ad Krikke (CISO, DSM), and Paul Timmers (former Director of Digital Society, Trust & Cyber, European Commission), as well as CyNation’s Board Director Koen Gijsbers (former General Manager, NCIA) and CTO Shadi A. Razak.

The conversation centered around the future of cyber security and the global ripple effects of GDPR. Panelists highlighted the opportunities inherent in GDPR, both in streamlining business practices and ensuring data protection. Other interesting points included the need for internal cyber legislation and creating a sustainable data security plans going forward.

This event marks the continuation of CyNation’s expansion; we will soon be opening offices in other European countries, including Switzerland, Germany and Portugal.
