Yesterday, Thursday March 27, 20 small cybersecurity companies went head-to-head in the Cyber Security Innovation Competition, each pitching themselves for the opportunity to win one of 14 places to feature in the DCMS (Department for Culture Media & Sport) UK Cyber Innovation Zone at Infosecurity Europe 2017 (06-08 June).
The DCMS sponsored UK Cyber Innovation Zone will offer a valuable platform to showcase products and services to prospective buyers, partners and investors, including a spotlight stage and the opportunity to present thought leadership presentations.
“It was great to see so many fantastic companies taking part in the competition yesterday, and there were some very worthy winners,” said Nicole Mills, exhibition director of Infosecurity Europe.
CyNation was recognised as one of the UK’s Most Innovative Small Cyber Security Company as well as receiving the opportunity to feature in the DCMS UK Cyber Innovation Zone at Infosecurity Europe 2017.
For the first time, CyNation presentув its Automated Compliance Manager for SMEs, CyReg GDPR, which will go live on May 25th, one year before the General Data Protection Regulation will be enforced.
There are 22m SMEs in Europe that have to comply with this new regulation. However, GDPR awareness and readiness in SMEs is low. GDPR still applies to them, and it is a complex and difficult business issue: often SMEs have neither knowledge nor resources to address it.
