Suzanne Bishopric

Suzanne until recently was the Director of the Investment Management Division of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund from 2007 until 2015, bringing the globally diversified portfolio up to an all-time high of US$54 Billion. She established the Risk and Compliance function for the Fund and initiated allocations to Private Equity, Green Bonds and infrastructure. Suzanne also served on the Advisory Board of the IFC-World Bank Africa, Latin America and Caribbean Private Equity Fund and the Ashmore Emerging Markets Africa Fund.
From 1998 until 2007, Suzanne served as Treasurer of the United Nations, negotiating banking arrangements and investments from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. She implemented security measures including the SWIFT payments system, investment pooling and cheque fraud prevention software. She was employed by the McDonald’s Corporation as Director-Financial Markets, responsible for bond issuance, currency risk management, interest rate swaps and hedging operations. Elected to the Board of the United Nations Federal Credit Union in 2014, she currently serves as a Director of the LIM Asia Multi-Strategy Fund.
Suzanne has an MBA from the Harvard Business School of Business Administration. She is also a graduate of Harvard University with an Honours degree and completed the Directors Education Program at McGill University in 2013. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, with conversational Arabic, Japanese and French and lives in New York.
